ABOUT US
The Play For Peace Soccer Foundation is a New York-based charity founded in 2009 with a mission to implement programs in Liberia that leverage the power of soccer to promote youth empowerment, community engagement, and social change.
Our foundation is particularly dedicated to addressing critical social issues affecting girls in Monrovia, Liberia. By using sports as a vehicle for transformation, we aim to offer young female athletes an opportunity to escape the harsh realities of sex trafficking, drug abuse, prostitution, and child marriage. Through soccer, we provide them with a platform to foster self-esteem, gain confidence, and build a brighter future.
In 2022, we formed a strategic partnership with World Girls Soccer FC, a female soccer team in Liberia, to strengthen our outreach efforts for girls. This collaboration has already led to a significant increase in the number of girls graduating from high school and enrolling in colleges and vocational institutions.
At Play For Peace Soccer, our core message is clear: this program empowers kids to showcase their talents, build confidence, and realize that sports—especially soccer—can be a powerful tool for positive social change in their lives.

College Pathway
We assist kids with college applications and placement, connect them with sponsors and scholarship opportunities, and subsidize tuition for those in need.
